Hi, I'm Summer! I'm 24 years old and from Memphis, TN. I've been working in childcare for about 5 years now! I previously worked in a preschool/elementary school with ages 18 mo. old all the way to 12 yrs old with classroom sizes of up to 35 children at a time! The large classroom sizes taught me how to not only be flexible but also how to create order out of chaotic environments. I also have worked as a nanny for a family with two beautiful daughters, 6 and 10 years old, for a little over a year. One of the girls required special care, so I am no stranger to the fact that each child has their own developmental, physical, mental and emotional needs. While working with the family, I provided transportation, fun activities, house chores, and cooking for the girls. I currently work as a dance instructor to children in grades TK-8th. Working as a dance instructor to children has taught me how to sustain my energy, how to juggle multiple tasks, how to be an authoritative yet warm figure, and how to create an overall fun and welcoming environment.
