We work with children to establish and develop learning through play experiences, social interaction, and open communication. It is important that children build lifelong learning skills and create the confidence needed to succeed at home, school and in everyday life. Since 1997, Gaya’s Schoolhouse has dedicated itself to providing quality early childhood education through sensory-based experiences as part of the Play-Learn-Methodology. What sets Gaya's Schoolhouse WeeCare apart further is that it’s located in the Yahjian family home, where freshly cooked organic meals, loving care and a safe and clean environment are offered to children every day.See all program details
Having worked as a preschool teacher both in Bulgaria and the United States, I realized my life-long dream of opening a child care that emphasizes education and skill building when I founded Yahjian Child Care in 1997. Starting out with a handful of children, the Child Care has blossomed over the last decade thanks to my determination and innovation. I have always maintained my belief that each child is unique and should have access to meaningful educational experiences.
Our home is dedicated to the advancement of children in our care, the daycare consists of structured equipment for educational activities and indoor/outdoor playtime with plenty of space for children to move about. We prepare a nutritious home-cooked lunch and afternoon snack in our very own kitchen daily. Children have all of the comforts of home, including a peaceful nap area for a restful 2-hour mid-day rest period. You will find that all tools and materials needed for learning and creative expression are readily available to fill each progressive day. We have established a healthy environment where we want parents to ask, “is there something you don’t do?”
Our home rests in a quiet family driven community near Mountain Ave Elementary, Rosemont Middle and Crescenta Valley High, all top ranking performing schools. Rather commuting locally or long distance, you can easily access the 10 freeway, connecting to the 210 and 405.
