"A teacher takes a hand, opens the mind and touches the heart"
I am convinced that what happens to children during their formative years is far more important, so teaching good manners and encouraging children to have diverse experiences helps to develop their whole being. I am now able to convert my childhood home into a daycare for children to come learn in creative ways. The Montessori classroom is catered to doing lessons to meet a child's individual needs, and fits in beautifully with our Spanish and Sign language lessons for an enriched language based environment. My life experiences have made me feel responsible in doing an important job, that of igniting a light within each child to create a love of learning.
Ms. Amrin - Director
I don’t know where I’m going but I know where I have been! In my life’s journey I have collected many exciting experiences along the way. I studied psychology before switching over to teaching children in the public schools, then finally finding my calling with the Montessori method. It inspired me to leave my home in California to go to Miami to get certified in teaching, and challenged myself to create a cosmic curriculum at a Miami Beach school - Casa Dei Bambini which stands for Children's House.
Montessori philosophy serves to educate the whole child, and parents are drawn to Montessori because they believe it helps their children acquire leadership skills and independence. Children are very capable more than we normally think they are. I'm always amazed at how they can be totally absorbed in doing lessons in an almost meditative state, and I love it when their faces beam with joy! The shouts of ”I did it by myself” to announce a newly-acquired skill is so exciting for them to share with their peers. This turned my whole interest in life to prepare for the most important job in the world, that of nurturing each child by connecting them with their world in a fun and unique way.
