Merkel Day Care Daycare

I believe that every child is unique and that every child will learn and mature at their own rate. I feel it is important to challenge them every day to learn something new. This could be a social emotional skill like learning to share or it could be a new math skill. It's my job to guide them in whatever it maybe that they need help with. I like to make things fun for them. It's amazing to be able to watch them get excited about their accomplishments and the new things they are learning about. We use the Funshine Express curriculum to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program. This program uses all the Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. Every day we are learning Social & Emotional skills, Language & Literacy, Approaches to Learning, Creativity and the Arts, Cognitive, and using our fine and gross motor skills. The curriculum comes with books and all materials to have a success program in my day care.I feel my program is unique because of all the experiences I have had through the 27 years I've been doing day care. Experiences gives your knowledge and helps you learn things you may not get from a class or a book. Helping children learn can be the same way as they also learn through different experiences.
