My family and I do not believe in any holidays and it makes it hard for us because schools are always celebrating all the holidays and we keep my son home on those days. I don't know how else to handle it.

I have a 18 month old son who keeps getting sick at daycare. Almost once a week he gets sent home, cough, fever, tummy bug! It's really frustrating because my boyfriend and I keep having to take off work! Anyone else having the same problems?

Does anyone have any recommendations for some children’s exhibits at museums in the San Bernardino area? I feel like on the weekends all we ever do is take our son to the movies, and I’d rather do something more educational at least some of the time. Help please! Any suggestions are welcome!

My child has mild autism and I'm trying to find some sensory items to use in a bin for her to interact with for a long time. I try play-doh but she gets bored of it.

My son is so funny! He is 3 and loves listening to Dr. Seuss books at school. But what I've discovered is that he is taking his imagination to another level and it trying everything they are in the books! He wants me to make green eggs everyday and is constantly doing crazy things like Thing 1 & Thing 2! How can I stop this?

So my kiddo is 4 and I am wondering how strict I should be with academics? I hear that children learn best through hands on play and socialization, but I also want my kiddo to excel academically. I am scared of pressuring my child too much and them becoming resistant because of it.

I've heard friends mention that their child's preschool/daycare does a lot of purposeful play. What does this mean? Should I be worried that my son's teacher hasn't mentioned this? Is it something we can try at home?

It’s really important to me that I raise my child in a way that allows her to be whoever she wants to be. She’s still really small, not sitting up just yet. I’m wondering if any of you have raised your children with a gender-neutral parenting style, what it has been like, and why you chose to do it. Also, if anyone is super opposed to gender-neutral parenting, would be interesting to hear your thoughts, as well!
