How regular should my child's bedtime be?

How strict should my husband and I be about bedtime for our 5-year-old? He never stays up too late, of course, but we have trouble getting him to bed at a consistent time each night - partly because of my husband’s unpredictable work schedule. Our LO wants to wait up for him. Does this matter?

What is the difference between daycare centers and in-home daycares?

So my sister has her daughter in a preschool facility and I kind of want my daughter to go there as well but it's just really expensive and I am thinking about going towards the daycare option but am so hesitant because I'm not sure if the quality with be as good. Opinions?

Should I raise my child as a vegetarian?

My wife and I are about to have our first! We both became vegetarian about six years ago together. Neither of us were raised vegetarian, though. Maintaining our lifestyle is really important to us moving forward, but we’re worried that it won’t provide our child with enough of the nutrients she’ll need. Is there anything we should know about raising a child vegetarian?

Is it okay to breastfeed in public?

I know there is a lot of controversy when it comes to breastfeeding in public. I really don’t care at this point. If my son is hungry, I’m going to feed him. The looks and judgement I keep getting from people are starting to get on my nerves though. Can someone explain just what is so wrong with it?

When is the right time to stop nursing my son?

My best friend and I both had our kiddos at around the same time. My son was born first, and her daughter was born about a month after. It’s been really special! Question though: she told me that she has stopped nursing her daughter, but I haven’t stopped nursing my son, and he is about four weeks older. When is the right time to stop? My son is almost seven months old and I love nursing him. It feels like special bonding time!

I'm pregnant and about to be a single mom. Any advice?

I’m pregnant with my first child and I’m going to be raising my daughter as a single mom. I’m really excited, but nervous to be raising her on my own. Any other single mamas out there who can give me some advice?

Should I have kids close in age or farther apart?

My partner and I just had our first child. We’re brand new parents! Anyway, she’s almost a year and we’re starting to decide if we want to try to have another child sooner or later. Parents, what are your opinions on having kids close in age or a bit more spaced out? Does it really make a difference?

How do I tell my child they can't play football?

My seven year old wants to play pop warner football next season, but I'm concerned about the long-term safety of him doing so. I don't want him to miss out on socializing with his friends, but I would prefer to steer him toward something safer. Anyone else encounter this, or am I worrying too much?

Does anyone else hate the Ferber method?

Moms, am I the only one of us who HATES the Ferber method? I feel like an awful person and I feel so guilty sitting there while my daughter cries. Please tell me I’m not alone.
