My goals are to provide a safe and friendly environment where children's lives are enriched through activities and experiences. I strive to nurture children's social, emotional, and intellectual development by providing them with positive experiences and relationships in my care. Based on research that shows young children learn best through play, I provide many opportunities to explore, make discoveries, and learn respect. Through play, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development is nurtured and enhanced. Learning centers are used to help guide children's play. Writing, reading, dramatic play, blocks, and art are a few examples that are available every day. I use Experience Early Learning Curriculum to help guide instruction based on each child's individual needs. I also feel it is very important for the parents and the provider to have an open and friendly relationship to best meet the needs of the children.
