Chandra's Childcare Daycare

Activities are a very important part of my daycare. They are informally and formally structured to meet each child's needs. Games and craft projects are designed to be challenging, but within the abilities of the child. Building blocks and other construction toys encourage imagination and creativity, and puzzles and matching games teach problem solving ability, shape and color recognition. Group activities teach cooperation and sharing, and many games help with counting and number skills. Cutting, pasting and coloring help develop coordination and small muscle control. Children of all ages spend some time outdoors each day, weather permitting. We have weekly trips to the library as well as parks when the weather is nice. I also try to plan field trips (which may incur a small cost to you), Outdoor activities strengthen and develop large muscles. Television will be limited while in my home. At times we may watch educational programs or movies. We will celebrate each child's birthday and special holidays with a fun activity or party. September- May we have a preschool program that is play based and structured to the children in my care abilities.
