At Childhood Adventures, we seek to provide a safe and caring environment for both children and their families; an environment that will both nurture, and support opportunities for learning and exploration, that will enable the child to easily transition from an early childhood experience, into a world of lifelong learning and discovery.We utilize "The Creative Curriculum", through Teaching Strategies, which is very much a hands on curriculum, where children learn through play, through activities, through doing and interacting with others and their environment. The curriculum is flexible, as it must be in a family child care environment. The realms we cover include, but are not limited to: Language and Literacy, Mathematical Relationships, Exploring like Scientists, Social Studies, Creating through the Arts, and Integrating Learning through Studies.At Childhood Adventures, we are dedicated to our children and their families. We have over eighteen years of experience in family child care. We combine a variety of experiences to enrich our children's development and lives. First and foremost, we provide a safe and stable home environment for children to grow. Learning is supported through interaction with others, through our curriculum, and through weekly field trips into the community.
