I believe each child is a special and unique individual. Children deserve respect, guidance, opportunities for learning and most of all love. My philosophy is, enhancing a child's development within a home setting. First, for children to grow they need to feel loved and safe. I will provide them with a family like environment. Secondly, children learn daily. My child care environment, both indoors and outdoors, provides for learning. I plan daily activities, which I plan using the Redleaf Family Child Care Curriculum as my guide. I graduated college with a degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education which gives me that base knowledge of knowing child development from birth to grade school. This also helps me in curriculum/individual planning as I know about where the child's development should be, and where they go next. My outdoor environment is completely fenced in which allows children to run, play and discover! The child care family also helps teach children through sharing, socialization, our family style meals and taking turns. I am always open for ideas, and will consult with you on any needs of your child. I believe that open communication between home and child care will provide for happy children. I am privileged to have your child come grow and learn with me.
