At Discovery Corner I focus on the whole child socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. I strive to provide a safe, caring, comfortable and enjoyable environment full of learning opportunities. Each child is unique; therefore, activities will be ever-changing to meet your child's needs and interests. Through play-based learning and engaged supervision I will provide your child with self-guided and structured experiences that will stimulate their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. We use the Creative Curriculum to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program. While in my care your child will be able to participate in group time, story time and special craft activities. Engaging outside learning activities will be introduced when they fit with the curriculum, along with field trips and special guest speakers. We also have days that the Ice cream truck makes a special stop. We celebrate birthdays and many other holidays with fun activities. I offer my kids time to play outside every day. I like to introduce math and science projects at a young age to get them interested and thinking creatively.
