I believe children have the right to high quality care that is safe, nurturing, inclusive and developmentally appropriate which also provides hands-on experiences in a multitude of subjects. I will do my best to creatively cultivate the brilliance in each child and spend just as much time on their social and emotional development as their cognitive and physical development and by cultivating the brilliance in each child I am making the future of our society brighter. I believe children need responsive care that challenges them first, by meeting them right where they are and next, taking them to the next step in their development. I believe quality care matters because children are our future. I believe the role of the teacher, or in my case the care giver, is to be unbiased and understanding by giving effort toward all children in a just manner. I believe the critically important aspects of an inclusive environment are holding high expectations of all children, intentionally promoting participation, and cooperation from parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals. I will support families by offering information on the various developmental stages, keeping lines of communication open regarding their child's development and their wants as parents, continuing to learn and grow as an educator to continue to be a trusted resource for them, and actively engage in two-way accountability.
