Welcome to Community Montessori! Much more than a daycare, Community Montessori is run like a full-fledged Montessori Preschool! Our prepared environment is curated to every child's unique talents and abilities, fostering their individuality and authenticity with the added warmth and attention that only a home can provide. With a fully trained Montessori teacher on board, Community Montessori is proud to offer kosher and organic home-cooked meals and snacks everyday. The children take an active part at preparing their foods by planting vegetables in our garden which they then pick, clean, chop and prepare onto their lunch and snacks.
Community Montessori is named after the tight-knit Community of families that join our school as well as the Community of the world which we teach our children to embrace by respecting and loving the earth. By providing an Eco-friendly, green and sustainable environment and modeling care for our planet by recycling, reusing, reducing and composting the children of Community Montessori become model citizens of the world. Our curriculum is thorough and exciting as we expose the children to new and varied themes every month (The animal Kingdom, The solar system, My body and Me, The continents etc.) .
Every unit is coupled with new books, puzzles, sensorial activities and Montessori work. While we expose the children to new concepts, ideas and general knowledge, the basis of all our teaching is social and emotional as we aim to instill in their hearts kindness, respect and love for their fellow human beings and for the world. Openness to different cultures means being exposed to other languages too so we offer a French and a Hebrew story hour twice a month. We teach the children yoga and we like to incorporate tapping and meditating into our circle times. We have a weekly Shabbat party where we braid challah and have dance and music time. We are eager to meet your child and introduce you to the magical school that is Community Montessori!See all program details
I was looking for a great learning environment for my children that was Montessori focused but also small, warm and loving but couldn't find one so I created it :) I am a mom of 4 and CPR trained. I have hired and trained a teacher with 9 ECE to run the program with me.
Our teacher at Community Montessori is Vani. She is a bubbly, warm and wonderful educator. She has 10 years plus of experience in Montessori early childhood education and she is the most creative, loving and fun person who will ever meet. Children love Vani and so do we!
I run my home in a calm, loving and safe way. I like to use an essential oil diffuser, play classical music and rely on natural light to create and environment that is conducive to warmth, openness and love. My home is clean, green (I exclusively use environmentally friendly, non-toxic products) and completely child-friendly.
Beverlywood is an amazing neighborhood for young families. It is green and filled with trees so it has a very pleasant natural and suburban vibe all while being very central and pedestrian friendly. We walk everywhere and we love it!
