I believe my role as a caregiver is to create a Christian environment in which the children learn and develop by providing them a safe and fun place to be where they can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally and intellectually. I want the children to learn not only academic skills but many important life skills such as how to be kind, courteous and respectful of others. I use the Creative Curriculum for family childcare to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program. My program is unique because I have a huge fenced in backyard where I have a shaded playground with a large sandbox, toys, playhouses, climbers, swings, slides and various sports items to play with on the large grass yard and I have a spacious indoor play area where we play with numerous toys, games, books, arts and crafts and music and I have a loft! Infants and toddlers are taught sign language to help them learn early communication skills.
