Park Angels Day Care is a state licensed Family Day Care Home operated by Adella Wiest, a care giver who is nurturant, dependable and experienced. My objective is to provide a positive, enriching environment in which children can develop their intellectual powers, emotional capacities, social skills, physical coordination, and artistic inclinations. My aim is to help children learn about themselves and their world in a warm, secure setting. I understand children's need for free time to engage in play. I encourage self-directed activities and allow ample time for free play in my daily schedule. I also provide learning activities geared to meet the needs of pre-schoolers. My planned activities are presented so that the children are interested and enthusiastic participants. During the school year, curriculum areas of math, science, language development, art, music, body movement and cooking experiences are built around a central weekly theme. During the spring and summer months, these curriculum areas are expressed through an exploration of the natural world.
