I grew up the oldest of 3 helping care for my youngest sibling who had autism since I was 12. Recently I worked in a clinic for severe problem behavior in children with autism. My supervisor praised me upon evaluation for having been great with interacting with all of our clients and the kids absoluetly loved me often calling me by name. I also have a newborn niece and nephew with autism who I have also been assisting with care. I consider myself to have great patience with children which I believe is key and always try to find fun and safe ways to play and interact to keep the little ones entertained. I am also great at communication with older children and adolescents, and can relate to most. I was a virtual english teacher for small children in China during COVID and served as a mentor for at risk children in an elementary school during my undergraduate years.
