My childcare experience started pretty young, as I’m the oldest sibling of 5, and had to care for them almost daily. I’ve been babysitting for different family friends since the age of 12 and in high school, I took part in a program where I was fortunate enough to serve as a kindergarten teachers assistant. Both of these opportunities taught me how to care for several little ones simultaneously, including special needs children. I have been full time active duty in the Navy for the past 4 years, so I don’t have many opportunities to show for recently besides sitting for coworkers children from time to time. I also have experience with Italian children, both in home and through volunteer programs with elementary schools in Sicily. I’m quick on my feet in emergency/ high stress situations, and very patient when it comes to tantrum/ meltdown moments. I’m excited to get back into what I love and be able to help families in need of a caregiver.
