I worked as a horse camp counselor at Horsemania Overnight and Day Camp in Mason, TN for many years. I started as a camper and became a counselor when I was fifteen. I helped look after the campers while the instructor was busy, helped prepare meals for campers, and took the campers to Sonic on hot days after getting parents' permission to do so without pay. I was the longest standing counselor at Coyote Run Arena, where the camp takes place, and have been called hard-working. I received the "Counselor of the Year" award in 2020 for demonstrating "extreme patience, selflessness, and integrity."
Next, I worked as a Daycare Teacher for my high school, Tipton-Rosemark Academy. I supervised the 4 to 6-year-olds in my classroom and provided them with games and activities to pass the time while also exercising their minds. I also worked with older and younger kids, doing everything from playing games with the older ones to changing the little ones’ diapers. I plan to return to this job when I am home for the summer.
