During highschool I went to CCRESA to learn Early Childhood Development, during this class I learned about childrens language, fine and gross motor, cognitive, and social/emotional skills. In class I spent most of my time mentoring in classrooms (preschool, kindergarten), childcare centers, family childcare homes and before and after school programs. I’ve gained skills such a as, understanding how a child grows and learns, child development, health and safety, self-esteem, interacting with children, positive guidance/discipline skills, families, professionalism and activity/development design. I also got put in a class in highschool called links, in which case I helped the kids who need special help to stay on task, help being reminded, etc.
