To formally introduce myself, my name is Layne and I use he/they pronouns (name not yet legally changed). I am 20 years old living in Lebanon! I love taking care of little ones from ages of newborn to 14! I am deeply in love with music and art, I am a very creative person so activities and projects are easy for me to create and I always come prepared with art supplies!

Ever since I was 9 years old, I have always had the drive to work with children. At that age, I was taking care of my new born niece day and night, learning to change diapers, get the perfect temperature of her bottles, the perfect burping technique, the correct way to wrap her and put her down for a nap, you name it. It was so fulfilling for me, especially at such a young age.

Once I hit my freshman year of high school, I worked at the William Allen School under the Rochester Childcare Center for the after school program. Every day after school, I would walk to the school, set up snack time, take attendance, say hello to every child and build relationships with them all. These kids were from grades K-4, so I did have a wide range of kids. I worked with the company for about 6-7 months and had to leave sadly do to moving and not having a license. Working with these kids made me the happiest person alive. Seeing them run down the stairs to the gym screaming my name, running up and giving me a hug, it gives me the warmest feeling in my heart.

For so long I have wanted to get back into working with kids, possibly preferrably infants, but any age range works wonders for me! I am willing to drive about 30 minutes away from my home, farther if its needed!
