I've nannied and babysat since I was about 13-14 for families with kids of all ages. I also have about 4 years of experience babysitting a child who is autistic from ages 1-5. The last family I nannied for, as I was only home in the summers due to completing my bachelor's at Coastal Carolina, had twin boys ages 12. I would say what makes me a good caregiver is my patience and ability to explain things to kids in ways they understand, along with, more often than not, being able to avoid tantrums by giving timed warnings before things like getting ready for bed.
