I absolutely trust and respect children and love to help them.
When it comes to their health and well being, I err on the side of caution. Safety first. I have a very strong, experienced sense of urgency. I also know when someone just needs a hug and a cookie.
I am a snack after school, some fresh air and play before tackling homework kind of caregiver. I feel that after dinner, children need to unwind from the day with relaxation and get ready for the next school day. Bath or shower, loading back pack for next day, clothes out, some tv, story hour, whatever is appropriate for each family. No electronics after 730. I believe in structure, but also flexibility and understanding of exceptions.
I bake, I cook, prepare meals, light housekeeping. I am pet friendly.
I help with transportation to and from school, dr appointments, activities.
I have nine grandchildren who I don’t get to see as much as I want because of their cross country locations, so taking care of families is very rewarding for me.
