I've been the go-to babysitter most of my life as the oldest cousin in my large and loving family. "Auntie-Mel to the rescue!" My experience has been informal for those who know me in my small town community in Bishop, TX. I babysit during my short off-time periods in between my traveling assignments. I'm a traveling medical tech, and have been a Radiologic and Mammography Technologist for over 10 years. Having a lasting career in healthcare has given me experience with patients of all ages. However, I have always loved being around babies and working with children. I earned college credits in Early Childhood Development while in high school, but was offered acceptance into the Radiology Technology program which propelled me to be a traveling medical tech today. Although I do not have formal nanny certifications, my experience working with and babysitting children show my natural ability to provide love, patience, and nurturing care. I create an environment to set an example of those core abilities which are crucial to an impressionable little one. I'm currently on a contract assignment with Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek Shadelands Park. I have spare time on the weekends and want to offer my availability to those needing a trusting/caring sitter. I've decided to join Daycare to earn extra income with fulfilling work that I’m passionate about while I’m away from home.
