I know how to care for children through my own personal experiences. I grew up as the youngest child with six older siblings. I have over 20+ nieces and nephews, in addition to 10+ great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. My husband have a daughter, Emma, who is now 19 years old and in college.
I worked at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon for 21 years. During that time I worked with youth volunteers who were ages 14-18 years old. I was their mentor and supervisor while they were at the Aquarium. I also worked as an education specialist, teaching children ages 5-18 about the ocean during classroom sessions and overnight trips to the Aquarium.
While I don't have any certifications in childcare, I love working with children and guiding them to be the best that they can be.
