"The Future Is So Bright!"

We believe in preparing children to be successful for the long term - in school and in life! Our daycare is a loving and caring environment where all our children feel so safe. Parents will always say something like "I didn't call today because I know my child is in good hands, and they are safe and happy when they leave!". Our goal is for your child to attend our daycare and be a high achiever and be prepared for kindergarten. I truly believe my daycare is the best because children come out prepared for kindergarten, and their teachers tell us how advanced they are. Their kindergarten teacher will know they were working on being prepared for kindergarten because of their time spent here at Auntie Lana's Daycare!

Auntie Lana - Director

I love to see children learn, be happy, and help them to achieve milestones later in life. I want to give children the best start in life so that they can grow up to their fullest potential. When I was working for the school board I worked for Los Angeles School for 15 years in special needs. That experience really made me feel like I could have a bigger impact, and it started to make me think about how else I can continue to do my part. This is how I came about in opening my home daycare for 17 years, while having 32 years of experience working with children and early child hood education. My other training and special achievements include: Director's License Childcare Center, Special Education, ECE Units, Special Development Credits, and I have previously worked as a teacher's assistant.

Ms. Kathy - Morning Teacher

Miss Kathy helps me open the daycare in the mornings and assists in the early part of the day - all the children love her warm personality!

Ms. Cynthia - Afternoon Teacher

Miss Cynthia helps with the daycare later on in the day and evening time - she also shares in the joy of caring for children and seeing them grow!

The Home

I live in a very clean and well kept home, that has a safety alarm system and fire extinguisher. The daycare room is a very large playroom with learning tables and arts & crafts tables. We also have highchairs and infant chairs for meal time. We keep the temperature comfortable for the children depending on the weather with air conditioning and heaters.
I sterilize and clean very often because health and cleanliness are important to me. I also take safety very seriously to ensure that all the children in my care are well looked after. We have an abundance of learning materials, educational toys, books, writing / art materials, puzzles, a science center, an outdoor climbing gym, an outdoor water table, water work toys for the summer, children's bikes and push cars for outdoor activities.

The Neighborhood

We live in a very safe and family friendly neighborhood - we have a dead-end cul de sac where 11 neighbors on our street all know each other and look out for one another. It is also a quiet street with easy parking for drop off and pick up. We have three near by community parks and live close to schools.
