My name is Michelle Paulson. I am a single mom of three grown children and 3 grandchildren. I am a family childcare provider and been licensed since 1997. My Family Child Care offers a consistent caregiver with a warm, nurturing, home atmosphere in which your child can learn, grow and be a part of an extended family. Your child is going through an important period of development in his/her life. My role in your child's life is to assist you in providing the experience and support to help your child reach his/her potential. As a provider, I want to provide a well-rounded environment with lots of love and encouragement for the children in my care. To help each child achieve his/her potential, I focus on these areas of learning: social and emotional development, approaches to learning, language, literacy, and communications, creativity and the arts, cognitive development, as well as physical and movement development. I have a fenced in outdoor play area. During the academic year I provide a pre-school curriculum (Funshine Express). I also do the Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment Tool twice a year so I have documentation of progression and we will also conference at that time. I am a member of our local childcare association (Family Child Care Inc) and am on the Food Program. I attend monthly meetings and many other professional workshops to stay current and up to date on the learning practices. I also have a 4 star Parent Aware Rating. Our goal together is to have your child Kindergarten ready when they leave my home.
