Our job is get children ready to go to school. We need to give children the basic foundations for learning. This means educational, social, and emotional aspects need to be taught. We need to model the behavior we want our children to see and do. It's our job to provide a safe, happy environment that includes good nutrition and exercise. Making sure children are learning hands on with confidence and motivation. We use the Creative curriculum to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program. Having a curriculum that has a hand's on approach is key. Children are learning the basic foundations while having fun. Early learning is about what you get into a child's mind in the most critical time of learning (birth to school). I approach learning as, every child learns differently, and we need to find or discover what helps that child learn and grow. The creative curriculum helps me do that.I think the great thing about my program is I have so much land and room for physical activity. I take advantage of that by having a soccer field, basketball and a huge rainbow system that lets children have rock climbing, tube slides and regular slides, tunnels, swings and much more to explore. Especially, when you live where weather is very different and children can be trapped inside a lot, when you do have the chance, you can change it up to use physical activity in an awesome, fun way.
