I have been "working" with children since I was a senior in High School. I was a camp counselor, a tennis coach, and a mentor for younger kiddos while helping with Special Olympics. I then made a career out of working with children once I graduate from Penn State with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I relate well to children because I do feel as though I am a big kid at heart. I have kept in contact with numerous of my kiddos families, and have been informed of their progress and accomplishments. I feel a great sense of reward when I know I am helping and caring for a child, of any age.
