As the middle child of five, and a member of a large extended family, I have been taking care of kids of all ages for as long as I can remember. I believe starting to learn effective and responsible childcare at a young age has given me a wide array of experience as well as patience and flexibility to successfully adapt to each child's individual needs.
My experience in childcare ranges from mom or dad's last minute grocery run to weekend long stays with kiddos. I have nannied for several families with both school aged children and teeny tiny babies. Every family has a different personality and it's fun to connect with parents about the growth and development of their little ones.
In the last 10 years I have also worked on and off in the special education department (specifically ASD) in one of my hometown elementary schools.
No kids of my own, but they all seem to be drawn to my silly demeanor and active, curious lifestyle!
