Although I haven’t been a caregiver for long I’ve always been caring! I’ve helped raise my cousins and siblings since I was 6 years old. When I was 19 I became a mother to my oldest. Now I am 28 and a mother of 3, and have been caregiving on and off since 2019. It makes my heart and soul happy and makes me feel at peace being able to help others and bring a smile to their face, giving them hugs and just being there to listen to them when they need it. I’ve worked with mainly elderly folks but I’ve also done work with children who have disabilities such as autism to muscular dystrophy. I know families have their own way of doing things so I like to have them involved the first one or two times or just walk me through it the steps so I can be the best caregiver for the family that I can be!
