My latest job dealing with child care was being the nanny of two children one a two year old and the other not even a year old for a year. I also grew up in a big family so I learned how to take care of younger siblings and specifically my two nephews. One of my first jobs that entailed child care was baby sitting a one year old and an infant. Due to moving a ended up with the opportunity to volunteer at the sycamore center which is an after care program for kids ages k-12. This allowed me to not only learn to care for toddlers but also tend to the needs of teens. Through the Sycamore center I was able to become a youth leader at the Connect Youth Group where I worked with the middle school children for over a year.
